Recap of FH Switzerland’s General Assembly

On May 23rd, our 2024 ordinary general assembly took place at the Westlake Church in Nyon. We were able to present the activities and accounts for 2023, as well as the prospects for the current year. Below is a summary of the evening.

Change in Presidency
Among the significant changes, Patrick Fuchsloch stepped down after serving as the president of FH Switzerland for six years. His dedication and big heart were warmly acknowledged by colleagues and committee members. Edmond Granges, who has been vice president and treasurer for several years, was appointed as the new President. Giorgio Heiman, a recent addition to the committee, was named Vice President and Treasurer.
The general assembly also allowed for the admission of new members and the reappointment of active members: to date, the association has 40 members, and the committee is composed of six people.

New Evaluation Method
In terms of programs, Roger Zürcher presented “Outcome Harvesting,” a project evaluation tool. This method offers a new approach to measuring the impact of our actions. It involves first examining the changes that have occurred within a community and then working backward to determine if and how our interventions contributed to these changes. The value of this method lies in highlighting the unexpected effects of a project, the changes that were not initially planned.

The evening concluded with an aperitif, discussions, and constructive exchanges.
We thank everyone who attended and look forward to seeing you in 2025 for our next general assembly.
