Solar Panels for Karita

Through our health project in Uganda, we have contributed to improving the infrastructure of the Karita Health Center in the Karamoja region in the east of the country.

The health center has been equipped with a laboratory, and new latrines have been built to improve patient care. Additionally, healthcare staff have received multiple training sessions to enhance the quality of care, working in collaboration with volunteer teams who conduct home visits.

Today, for the proper functioning of the laboratory, the photovoltaic installation on the roof must be extended in order to adequately power all the equipment.

Training in meliponiculture (stingless beekeeping)

Still relatively uncommon, meliponiculture holds significant economic and ecological diversification potential for rural communities and biodiversity. Stingless wild bees produce honey that is considered a superfood and a medicinal product. Whether for the local market or export, this precious honey is a valuable asset for producing families. With the aim of integrating this new component into our projects, we organized a training session for our partners from the DRC, Burundi, and Uganda, with the support of the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE).
