Lebanon needs you!

The explosions in Beirut caused enormous damage and losses, while Lebanon was already in crisis.

The disaster was caused by the explosion of a warehouse where 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate had been stored for six years "without precautionary measures".

The explosions killed more than 150 people and injured more than 6,000. According to current estimates, more than half of the city is damaged and 300,000 people are now displaced.
Unfortunately, these figures are likely to increase as search and rescue operations have not been completed and many people are still missing.

But even before this emergency, Lebanon was in chaos. The current economic challenges have exacerbated this crisis for countless families and children already living on the margins. And the COVID-19 pandemic has further aggravated Lebanon's social and economic situation.
An estimated 30 per cent of Lebanon's population is made up of refugees. Their needs are truly urgent.

FH's Emergency Relief Unit has a proven track record of rapid and effective response that strengthens the resilience of households and communities in the face of overwhelming disasters such as this one.
Our staff and partners in Lebanon, already on the field, are responding to help the affected population.

Thank you for giving generously today to ensure the rapid delivery of food, clean water, shelter and emergency supplies that victims of the devastating explosions need to survive.

To make a donation, please indicate "emergency Lebanon" on your donation.

Thank you for your support.
