Call for donations for victims of the May floods in Rwanda

In early May 2023, torrential rains caused devastating floods and landslides in several regions of Rwanda, affecting many residents.
Rubavu, Ngororero, Nyabihu, Rutsiro, Karongi, Gankeke, Burera, Musanze and Nyabagabe districts were particularly affected, leading to loss of life and destruction of houses, property, bridges and roads. Faced with this critical situation, FH Rwanda is mobilized to provide emergency aid to those affected.
Facts:
The torrential rains have already caused 127 deaths, and thousands of people have been displaced from their homes, deprived of their essential goods. More than 5,000 people are left homeless, while other families living in high-risk areas have been temporarily evacuated to safety. The most urgent needs concern access to food and basic necessities.
The intervention of FH Rwanda:
FH Rwanda, in collaboration with the Rwanda Health Agency (ARS) and regional management, launched an emergency response project to provide vital support to affected communities. The FH Rwanda team is already in action in the districts of Karongi and Ngororero. It focuses on the distribution of food products, such as 4,500 kg of rice and 3,900 liters of long-life milk, in order to meet the immediate needs of affected families.
However, FH Rwanda's resources are limited and it is crucial to receive additional support to extend aid to other affected regions. You can play a vital role in contributing to this humanitarian cause. Your donation, whatever the amount, will allow us to provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable families.

Every contribution counts and will make a real difference in the lives of those affected. Thank you for your support!
